As the city comes together to celebrate Eid al Fitr, families will find an exciting selection of events and experiences to help them make lasting memories.

Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year’s Eid schedule is brimming with experiences to fill hearts and spark joy.

Here are some of the family-friendly experiences happening this Eid…

Exciting days out at Dubai’s top attractions

Memories to last a lifetime can be made at the city’s exciting attractions this Eid. Families can witness the mesmerizing dolphin and seal shows at Dubai Dolphinarium, an unforgettable experience for loved ones to share and this Eid families can enjoy 30 percent off ticket prices.

At IMG World of Adventures families can experience the rich Arabic heritage and culture at the special ‘Old Arabic City’ theatre where bands and dance groups will perform authentic art and folklore and storytelling sessions. Traditional décor, sweeping fabric and folkloric drawings along with towering palm trees will set an unforgettable backdrop for an Eid experience like no other.

At Dubai Miracle Garden, families who come to witness the amazing flower sculptures and displays can also enjoy a delightful Eid show which will happen twice a day in the amphitheatre.

Breathtaking fireworks and light shows to delight the whole family

Spectacular firework shows will light the skies every night of the three days of Eid at 8pm, at locations across the city, offering awe-inspiring moments for everyone. On the first day of Eid, visitors and residents can watch the skies sparkle at Dubai Festival City Mall and at Hatta. On the second day of Eid, the skies at Al Seef will light up in colourful displays. On the third day of the celebrations, the fireworks spectacular will happen at Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR in a wonderful culmination of a month of stunning weekend displays.

Also illuminating the city is Eid Reflections, an enchanting series which celebrates the beauty of light through projection shows at iconic landmarks. From 8pm to 3am every day of Eid, the displays will light up Al Seef, Jumeirah Grand Mosque, Ahmed Al Habbai Mosque in Al Khawaneej, and Dubai Festival City Mall, offering a chance for the community to come together and witness a spectacular showcase embodied by the beauty of light.

Roaming performances to enchant all ages

During the Eid holiday, roaming dancers performing the traditional Emirati Al Ayala and Al Harbiya dances will delight families as they take to malls across the city. Performers can be spotted at Mall of Emirates, Mirdif City Centre, City Walk, Dubai Festival City, Ibn Battuta Mall, Circle Mall, Bluewater, The Outlet Village, Deira City Centre, Al Seef, Nakheel Mall , Al Khawaneej Walk and BoxPark.

Family-friendly markets and community events

All ages will delight in a trip to Global Village this Eid, where families can explore the Eid Wonder Souk and more than 27 other pavilions and browse for the perfect festive gifts and trinkets. Musical firework displays will happen at 9pm every evening, and across the site there will be more than 200 cultural performances that will enchant guests of all ages. Flavours from across all continents can be explored at more than 250 restaurants, kiosks, food trucks and cafes, and at Carnaval™ there are more than 195 exhilarating rides, skill games, arcade games and attractions to help families make unforgettable memories.

The popular Ripe Market offers a delightful way for all ages to soak up pleasant weather and discover local artisan food, fashion, gifts and more. An outdoor play area, a stables offering pony rides, a petting zoo, and inflatable slides, as well as a large selection of food stalls make this a perfect way to spend a whole day together.

Families can enjoy flavours from more than 50 of Karama’s restaurants at the vibrant Ramadan Street Food Festival which is continuing until 13 April. Happening at Sheikh Hamdan Colony in Karama, incredible dishes and sweet treats can be enjoyed long into the night amid a welcoming atmosphere.

A family adventure in Hatta

Hatta Wadi Hub is the home of adventure and families can challenge themselves to try something new this Eid break. Kayaking and paddle boarding are on offer, as well as exciting activities such as archery and zip-lining and kayaking. Families can avail a 30 percent discount on selected activity packages.

Eid celebrations in an iconic setting at Expo City Dubai

With its vibrant mix of tradition, culture, cuisine, and family-friendly experiences, everyone is invited to embrace Eid al Fitr’s spirit of community at Expo City Dubai. Expo City Dubai’s mosque will host early morning Eid Prayers, and many popular Hai Ramadan activities will continue. Visitors can enjoy cultural performances, workshops, artisanal shopping, and adventures.

Families can also enjoy entertainment at the Magic Planet Game Arcade and take on The Monster, the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course, featuring 42 obstacles with tickets starting at AED 95. Additionally, they can delight in complimentary meals for children under 12 at numerous Expo City Dubai restaurants.

Staycation deals for family fun

Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights hotels are offering special Eid rates for bookings of two nights or more starting at AED 490 a night inclusive of half board, with kids aged under 11-years-old staying and dining for free at the property. Farmstead at the newly opened Mercure Dubai Deira is also offering a special promotion allowing guests to experience the richness of Turkish, Moroccan, and Middle Eastern traditions with a Eid buffet dinner at a special price of AED 89 per person with an add-on option of the House Beverage Package for a top-up of AED 99.

At H Hotel Dubai, kids who are under the age of 12 can stay and eat for free between 9 April and 19 April. At Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, families can make everlasting memories with staycation rates starting from AED 580. Stays also include kids club access and entry to the on-site water park, Jungle Bay, as well as 25 percent off food and drinks and late check out until 2pm.

At 25hours Hotel One Central, families can take advantage of one of two offers which are available from 1 – 12 April. Families can stay for two nights and get a third night free as well as enjoy AED 200 credit to spend in the hotel, or buy three nights and get an extra two nights for free, inclusive of AED 300 credit.

Eid feasts for the family

Delicious flavours from around the world can be enjoyed by the whole family at SO/ Uptown Dubai which is hosting a large Eid buffet featuring traditional and international flavours each evening of the holiday at 8pm.

Families can spend a whole day at the Khalidia Palace Hotel Dubai which is hosting an  Eid brunch on the second day of the holiday. Diners will also enjoy access to the pool all day until 7pm.

Families have the chance to win big

Families can turn their Eid shopping into a tropical getaway.
