Encounter Coffee Launches Its First Cafe In Mall Of Emirates, Dubai

Encounter Coffee was the vision of EatX Managing Director Tom Arnel who has been raising the bar for specialty coffee and homegrown concepts since the launch of Tom&Serg in 2013. With the launch of its new flagship store in Mall Of Emirates, Encounter Coffee parrots the ethos of all EatX venues across Dubai, good coffee and good food.

The location is fresh, light and airy, complete with a coffee bar and surf boards, paying homage to its Australian foundation. Encounter Coffee was created from the grass roots of Melbourne coffee culture, roasting out of The Sum Of Us since 2016. The new cafe will continue its education on bean-to-brew techniques along with the tastes and flavors from across the globe.

Encounter Coffee, Mall of Emirates serves a menu of light and bright dishes such as the Soufflé pancakes with a crème brulee glaze, poached berries and yuzu chantilly or try the Turkish eggs with melted tomato, sweet peppers, coriander and a fragrant saffron yogurt. Another must-try is the Fried chicken bao with hot & sweet gochujang, nashi pear slaw and kewpie mayo. Customers will also find some EatX favorites such as the Wagyu beef burger and the classic Pumpkin and feta salad. As with all EatX venues, Rise&Dawn Bakehouse, the in-house bakery will be delivering freshly baked goods, from its signature croissants, breads and innovative pastries, perfect for grab-and-go or a pit stop coffee break.

Encounter Coffee, Mall of the Emirates will see an EatX first with the launch of the Encounter At Home range featuring a selection of coffee beans, drip bags, branded Miir cups & brewing kits. Additionally the brand has launched lifestyle products including branded t-shirts, tote bags, skateboards and surfboards.

The brand will carry on its mission to give customers the best experience of coffee culture in the region, ensuring coffee lovers are shown the craft and skill of its baristas. The brand sources the world’s finest, ethically sourced green beans and works with expert and well-respected roasters from Australia and around the world.

“Encounter Coffee joins the dots with what we believe in at EatX, which is quality of product and education of food and coffee culture. When we first started roasting back in 2016, we noticed the level of interest in artisan coffee from our consumers which is now a huge trend across the world. We were one of the first to pioneer sustainable and techniqle coffee blends and we will continue to be ahead of the crowd with the launch of the Mall of Emirates venue. Mall of Emirates holds a special place in our heart as it was the first location of the beloved Common Grounds venue and we look forward to our long standing relationship with Majid Al Futtaim in the years to come.” Tom Arnel Managing Director EatX Hospitality.
