Dubai Home Festival Supports City’s Small Brands, Independent Creatives And Homegrown Talent

This year’s Dubai Home Festival (DHF) is giving homeowners and tenants the perfect opportunity to explore the huge range of independent brands and small companies hard at work across the city.

The third edition of DHF, which runs until 30 September, has partnered with some of the most unique homegrown vendors to offer residents and visitors an eclectic mix of shopping options and support Dubai’s diverse creative community.

A platform for independent makers and small brands to showcase their wares, ARTE Market at Times Square will feature dozens of stalls with vendors from across Dubai and further afield. Taking place on 24 September, the market will be open from 10am to 6pm.

Miriam Walsh, ARTE Market organiser, said: “I am delighted that the vendors at ARTE, in connection with DHF, have super exposure to a wider network of residents and visitors.”

Charles Jabbour, whose company MangoBeat make natural wood speaks for smartphones, said: “I am happy that my association with ARTE has given us a wonderful opportunity to meet a wider network of residents and visitors. By participating in the Dubai Home Festival it is now possible for more people to enjoy the handmade products that I make with passion and complete dedication.”

Artist Jocelyn Lewishman, whose stall Art by Jocelyn sells wonderful abstract paintings, said: “I am very excited about the upcoming Dubai Home Festival, of which I will be an eager participant with my exhibitions at ARTE. My art will reach a much wider audience and potential customer base as a result. Having the opportunity to create and connect with my customers and sell my art is always such a joy.”

Joceyn Viernes from YarnSouq, a company that sells yarn, needles, hooks and more, said: “We love that being part of DHF has given us the opportunity to showcase how our yarn can be used for home projects and provide inspiration for our customers.”

Shireen McGurn from RareFind, which specialises in artwork and signboards said: “Creating brings me joy and fuels my passion. Years of being a vendor at ARTE has given me the platform to share the things I love to do. It allows me to be part of a big creative family that supports and encourages handmade, which by definition supports a sustainable future. When DHF highlights the ARTE Market,  it is supporting our local handmade crafts by exposing them to an even wider audience than we could have hoped to reach.”

Stuart Camden, whose company Camden Bureau makes coffee tables out of car and engine parts, said: “As a small family business, ARTE provides us with a platform to showcase our bespoke items in a variety of locations throughout Dubai. Combining this with an elite association with the Dubai Home Festival further bolsters our reach to new customers who appreciate the unique, one-off items that we create. This is key to broadening our reach and exposure, which enables us to grow our business and to meet many like-minded friends along the journey.”

Held from 19 to 30 September, DHF is a one-stop-shop for everything home related. Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), all of the stores and malls participating in DHF follow all of the important health and safety measures, including social distancing and the wearing of masks at all times.
