City Centre Mirdif Celebrates National Day With Art, Culture And Sweet Surprises

City Centre Mirdif will kick off celebrations for the 48th UAE National Day with a festival of activities and offers for the whole community to enjoy. Upholding the spirit of the union, the mall invites visitors to come together for a variety of fun-filled artistic, cultural, and interactive experiences between 29 November and 5 December, alongside a programme of celebrative entertainment lasting until 7 December.

Guests can enjoy an art exhibition featuring curated works by local Emirati artists and sculptors at the Central Galleria, while partaking in interactive origami and calligraphy workshops led by Emirati artists. As part of the exhibition visitors will have the chance to express their pride by creating patriotic messages that will be shared with all mall guests on a digital display.

At a customisation booth, visitors can choose a UAE-related symbol to be sketched onto one of their items by an artist, or they can get the national red, green, black and white colours painted on at hand and face paint stations.

What’s more, selected F&B retailers will serve diners a complimentary National Day dessert with every main course purchased.  Tying up the festivities will be a programme of traditional Emirati dance performances hosted three times a day from 29 November until 7 December, against a backdrop of elegant lights, flags and other National Day décor. The performances will also incorporate a hospitality corner offering warm Arabic coffee and dates.

Mohamed Al Jasmi, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Mirdif said, “We’re proud to host so many festivities around National Day and celebrate such an important day with our community. Upholding the value of togetherness that shines brightly on National Day, we’re offering something for everyone, to make sure all our visitors can share in the excitement on this most important day of unity. We look forward to welcoming the community into City Centre Mirdif for an experience filled with pride in the nation.”
