Noon Payments Enables Jaywan Acceptance Through Mastercard Gateway

Mastercard has collaborated with noon payments to enable Jaywan card transactions with Mastercard Gateway. The capability is made available through Mastercard Merchant Cloud, supporting acceptance of the UAE’s domestic card scheme through the unified platform. The collaboration supports the continued growth of the UAE’s local payment infrastructure while expanding acceptance of Jaywan across digital commerce.

The collaboration will enable customers to use Jaywan cards for online transactions across noon payments’ digital payments ecosystem, while giving merchants and payment partners a streamlined way to support both local and international payment methods through a single, scalable gateway.

“At Mastercard, we fully support the UAE’s vision for a more inclusive and innovative digital economy. By enabling Jaywan acceptance through Mastercard Gateway, we are helping businesses offer consumers greater choice while supporting the continued evolution of the country’s payment infrastructure. This collaboration reflects our commitment to delivering locally relevant payment solutions that combine market-preferred payment methods with Mastercard’s global capabilities,” said Prakriti Singh, executive vice president, Core Payments, Mastercard, EEMEA.

By enabling Jaywan acceptance through the platform, Mastercard and noon payments are supporting the wider adoption of local digital payment options and contributing to the continued growth of the UAE’s digital commerce ecosystem.

“We’re proud to enable Jaywan acceptance through Mastercard Gateway. The future of payments in the UAE will be built on a mix of strong global networks and strong local payment solutions, and merchants shouldn’t have to choose between the two. At noon payments, we’re focused on making payments simpler, faster, and more accessible for businesses and consumers. Bringing Jaywan onto our infrastructure is another step towards giving merchants more choice while supporting the continued growth of the UAE’s digital economy,” said Mosam Gadia, SVP, noon payments.

“Expanding acceptance is central to the growth of any card scheme. We are glad to announce that Jaywan acceptance for e-commerce transactions is live, and this represents a critical milestone in our Jaywan journey. Through this partnership, noon, Mastercard and AEP contribute to strengthen the proposition to the merchants, who now have the possibility to accept our national payment card, and contribute to the payment strategy of the UAE,” said Andrea Cianchetti, Chief Products Officer, al Etihad Payments.

The collaboration reflects Mastercard’s broader focus on simplifying commerce for businesses and helping them meet evolving consumer payment preferences. As a global payment platform, Mastercard Gateway enables secure transaction processing across multiple channels – from in-store to websites and mobile apps – helping businesses simplify commerce, support local and international payment methods, and scale more efficiently.

Mastercard Gateway is available through Merchant Cloud, Mastercard’s unified, open acceptance framework that provides businesses with streamlined access to modular payment solutions and services, including agentic capabilities, fraud protection, authentication, tokenization, data and partner services. Providing trusted and flexible payment infrastructure that evolves with their business – removing the complexity from expansion and growth.

Introduced in 2024, Jaywan is the UAE’s domestic card scheme, designed to provide a seamless payment experience tailored to local needs while supporting the continued development of the country’s payment infrastructure. By enabling Jaywan acceptance through Mastercard Gateway, Mastercard and noon payments are supporting the wider adoption of Jaywan and helping strengthen the UAE’s digital commerce ecosystem.
